By purpose
According to the purpose for which the data collected through cookies is processed, we can distinguish:
- Technical cookies: Allow the user to navigate through a website, platform, or application and use the various options or services available, such as traffic control, session identification, restricted access, remembering order details, purchase processing, event registration, security elements during browsing, content storage for video or sound broadcasting, or sharing content via social networks.
- Customization cookies: Allow the user to access the service with predefined general features based on certain criteria in the user’s terminal, such as language, browser type, regional configuration, etc.
- Analytics cookies: Allow the cookie controller to monitor and analyze user behavior on the websites to which they are linked. The information collected is used to measure website, app, or platform activity and to create user browsing profiles to improve services based on usage data.
- Advertising cookies: Enable the management, in the most efficient way possible, of advertising spaces included on a website, application, or platform based on criteria such as edited content or ad display frequency.
- Behavioral advertising cookies: Enable the management of advertising spaces in the most efficient way possible. These cookies store information on user behavior obtained through continuous observation of their browsing habits, which allows for the development of a specific profile to display advertising accordingly.
